Centero Home NXT by elero

Centero Home NXT is the ideal point of entry into the world of the smart home. The central control unit (gateway) is connected by WiFi to the home router and connects all the taught-in devices to form one system. Operation is manual or automatic with an iOS® or Android™ app. The Centero Home NXT system can be used outside of the home’s WiFi network via the cloud as well as locally. The user-friendly and intuitive operation by smartphone or tablet is convincing for both construction clients and modernisers.

Cloud Access - Even on the road

Cloud Access is required to control the devices on the Centero Home from an external network. This means that the gateway in the home network can be controlled via the Internet from a mobile network or a hotel WLAN, for example. Settings to the configuration outside the home WLAN are not possible.

The perfect lighting mood - at the touch of a finger
 

Switching luminaires on and off, dimming them and adjusting the colour temperature as desired - this makes a decisive contribution to living comfort. The Philips Hue lighting system is integrated into the CenteroHome NXT app in just a few simple steps... and you control the smart light for your home at the touch of a finger or via smart tasks.

 

Status feedback and display of critical devices
 

You define critical devices yourself - they are applications about which you want to be informed. This is useful for opening detectors and patio awnings, for example. The start screen then displays a warning symbol when a window is open or the awning is extended.

Even more smart home benefits
with Centero Home NXT Plus

The In-app-upgrade to the Plus version offers additional functions and applications that make the home even smarter. Use the menu at the top left to go to "Account" and select Plus Version. This is a simple way to carry out the in-app purchase.

Afterwards the comfortable voice control of the taught-in devices is available with the digital assistant Amazon Alexa and controls, for example, lighting or privacy and sun protection by voice command. Music lovers also use WLAN-based sound systems from Sonos. This allows the user to control the sound via an app - room by room or comfortably throughout the house. 
If a Netatmo weather station is integrated into the system, personal weather data can be displayed in the Centero Home NXT Plus.

IMPORTANT!
There are two different apps which differ in significant points.
Please read carefully the short introductions for the two apps “Centero Home NXT” and “Centero Connect” and then choose the suitable app for your application.

Centero Home NXT

End user app

With the Centero Home NXT app, the CenteroHome gateway and elero wireless products, you can operate roller shutters, venetian blinds, awnings, lighting, radiant heaters and much more conveniently and reliably from a central location on your smartphone or tablet - whether you are at home or on the move. With third-party products such as Somfy RTS or from HomeMatic, the SmartHome control can be easily expanded. You can visually read the status of the connected devices anytime and anywhere and thus be sure that everything is in order at home. Centero Home NXT combines the advantages of the bidirectional Proline2 radio system from elerwith mobile and user-friendly operation via smartphone and tablet. The CenteroHome gateway is integrated into the WLAN home network and converts the commands received from the smartphone and tablet into radio signals.

Centero Connect

The Centero Connect app is only required for initial setup by elero specialist partners! 

This starts up the CenteroHome gateway, teaches in the elero wireless receivers and saves them in a configuration. The configuration is then checked and saved on the gateway. Neither the WLAN key nor a device of the end user are required for commissioning. After the initial configuration with the Centero Home NXT app, the connection to the smartphone / tablet of the specialist partner is disconnected and Centero Connect can no longer be used on this gateway. This enables a quick setup and also increases security for the end user. To operate the elero wireless receivers and to learn and operate other devices from the various manufacturers, the Centero Home NXT app is required, which must be installed on the end user's device (smartphone or tablet).
