New elero building in Schlierbach making progress
Foundation stone laid for further success
A pioneer in quality management according to ISO 9001:2015, successful product launches, excellent feedback in the latest customer survey, continuous sales growth – once again, elero performed well in 2016. A world of possibilities still lies ahead. During the groundbreaking ceremony, Lütkemeyer said: "The new building in Schlierbach will give us new opportunities to grow as a lean company thanks to its layout and location in this industrial park. We will be able to optimise capacities and lead times and adjust them to demand. Now we will always be able to ensure flexibility, maximum adherence to schedules and the highest "Made in Germany" quality for our customers, even when demand fluctuates."
On Friday 30 September, Jochen Lütkemeyer and the elero team met at the construction site in Maybachstrasse in Schlierbach. Owner Lauro Buoro and CEO Roberto Griffa from the Nice Group came from Italy especially for the occasion. elero is growing as an international brand under the Group's umbrella. Buoro said: "Congratulations to everyone involved for everything they've accomplished so far. With this new building, we will strengthen production capacity at the Group level and continue on our path of continuous improvement. The German market for automation of roller shutters and sun protection systems is very important. We will be able to cater to that market even better with the new elero Focused Factory."
After their welcome speeches, Jochen Lütkemeyer and Lauro Buoro picked up a trowel and laid the foundation for the foundation stone, which was then placed by a truck-mounted crane. The cavity in the stone was filled with mementos such as an elero motor, a hand-held radio transmitter and a current newspaper and then covered with an engraved stainless steel plate. About 250 people witnessed this special moment. Almost all elero employees, the new neighbours, architects, construction project managers and builders were present. Paul Schmid, Mayor of Schlierbach, also attended the ceremony. "It's great that elero is part of Schlierbach in 2017 and is strengthening our region as an important employer and economic factor," he said. After the groundbreaking ceremony, elero celebrated with guests in the tent and outside in the beautiful weather.
