Fresh wind for growth
“In past years elero has undergone a remarkable development. That I can now contribute to leading this highly exciting company into a successful future fills me with a great deal of anticipation and awe,” says Viola. Until recently the graduate economic engineer was a member of the management of the Ulm-based truck builder Magirus. As its director he was responsible for both the areas of Product and Project Management, as well as Engineering. Prior to this he had held management positions worldwide at a number of international companies.
“elero is a fascinating, innovative, open and pragmatic company with an outstanding track record with its products, quality and service,” states the married father of two children as the reasons behind his decision to move to elero. Roberto Griffa, the managing director of the Nice Group, underlines: “elero occupies a leading position in Europe in the meantime. Viola is the right man for its future development. His many years of successful, international management responsibility in various areas of the automotive industry will be of enormous benefit to elero.”
Short- and medium-term targets have already been set, with Viola saying: “It is now a question of tapping the outstanding potential of the company, which is based above all on its immense know-how, long-standing customer relationships, as well as highly-qualified and motivated personnel, and generating further growth. We intend to consolidate and expand our market position as the largest German manufacturer of drives for visual and sun protection. elero fulfils all the prerequisites to achieve even better positioning of the brand and products in international competition. To this end we will continue to utilise the classical sales channel to the end-user via skilled tradesmen. This strategy has very much proved its value in the past and will also be the path we take. The focus is on customer satisfaction and loyalty.”
