Standard drives are generally not suited to the motorisation of rolling doors and over-sized roller shutters. elero has therefore developed a power pack for shafts with a diameter of 10 cm and more, which can also be used to operate heavy doors. The alternating current drive Type 15/30 has a torque of 300 Nm and is thus able to operate rolling doors or roller shutters that weigh 400 kg. As the drive is only 4 cm longer than the versions with a lower torque, it can be installed in compact spaces – regardless of whether it is equipped with an emergency crank handle or not.

As with all elero pluggable drives, the Type 15/30 is outstanding thanks to the ease of installation: It is suited to left-hand or right-hand installation, and the adjustment of both end positions is possible from the left or the right. The alternating current technology also ensures that installation is uncomplicated. If the emergency crank handle should be required, for example in the event of a power failure, the settings for the end positions remain unchanged, with the effect that the positions do not need to be re-set.

Long-term quality
Particularly interesting for the user are the benefits to be seen in day-to-day use: The drives are fitted with a temperature limiter, thus protecting the drive and its working parts, at the same time extending their service life. Moreover, optimum gearing in line with state-of-the-art gear technology guarantees that drive operation is quiet. In order to guarantee the highest safety standards, elero regularly has the drives and controls for rolling doors certified to the latest European norms by independent testing companies (EN 12453, EN 60335). These place major demands on mechanical and electrical safety.
