Once again there will be a number of highlights on show at this year’s Saie Due in Bologna: The focus of the elero trade fair appearance is on the new drive generation RevoLine. “Tubular motors for roller shutters and awnings account for about 40 per cent of the sales at our branch in Italy. For this reason we expect there to be major interest in RevoLine,” says Marco Wurm, head of the elero branch office in Italy. In order to present the new drive series adequately elero has, compared to 2005, increased the stand area by one third to over 90 square metres.

The new drives have a special “Soft” concept. Thus they move roller shutters and awnings extremely quietly and gently. This is particularly interesting for the Italian market as here – in contrast to other European countries – roller shutters and awnings are seen on windows much more often than venetian blinds. There are also some innovations in the door sector: Thus the new BoxLine drives for rolling and sectional doors are also presented to Italian trade visitors at the Saie Due for the first time ever.

Linear actuators for façade constructors
In addition to the drive technology from elero, the linear actuator business division is also represented at the Saie Due. Façade constructors use the linear push rod actuators above all for the alignment of sun protection elements on buildings. Here they move slats made of glass, aluminium or stainless steel, as well as photovoltaic elements, precisely and without any play. With the Picolo IP 65 at the Saie Due elero is, among other things, for the first time ever presenting a watertight linear actuator which can be installed either horizontally or vertically with the piston rod facing upwards.
