Radio controls: optimum combinations

Wireless products for every automation need

The automation needs of house and apartment owners are diverse and not always easy to reconcile with the respective installation situation. It is all the more important, therefore, that the individual components are not just of a high quality, but also function as a package in an optimum manner. This is where the advantages of a modular product range, such as that offered by elero, come into play.
User-friendly radio technology
Product combinations with modern radio technology are highly recommended. They bear the special elero seal of quality, for which two criteria have to be fulfilled: Firstly, easy, swift programming of the individual components following installation; secondly, use of the secure 868 MHz frequency, which virtually excludes interference with other radio devices such as mobile phones and WLAN routers.
Those wishing to automate their roller shutters have a choice of several radio components, all of which may be freely combined. At the heart of the package is the roller shutter drive unit with its integrated radio receiver, which elero offers with a variety of different power levels and for all the customary shaft diameters of 40 mm upwards. It is complemented by controls from the ProLine series.
Dynamic duo
The wall-mounted transmitter AstroTec-868, for example, opens and closes roller shutters automatically. In this respect the integrated timer with an “Astro” program independently synchronises with the respective sunrise and sunset times. For shading during the day, the wall-mounted radio transmitter may be combined with a sun sensor such as the Lumo-868. This battery-powered sensor is simply attached to the window pane using a suction cup, with radio technology ensuring that the roller shutter closes in the event of strong sunshine.
Remote control for roller shutters
Intelligent timers are also offered as a mobile version: The hand-held transmitter TempoTel has a basic Astro program that automatically closes roller shutters at sunset. Alternatively opening and closing times can be programmed individually using the clear menu navigation. The connection of sensors is, however, not foreseen with this model. As well as transmitters with an integrated timer, simpler controls with the functions “Up”, “Down” and “Stop” – such as the hand-held transmitter MonoTel – are also available.
The advantages of flexible radio technology come into play above all when retrofitting windows: Thanks to the ease of assembly and swift programming of the radio-controlled products, the installation work involved is much less complicated. Thus, even those fitting such systems later can fulfil their automation wishes without any problems.
