New devices for retrofitting

Invisible automation with adapter and radio technology

The benefits of roller shutter automation are often first recognized by users after they have spent years raising and lowering shutters by hand. Two aspects then deter many people from automation: Retrofitting drives and controls requires more work than their installation in a new building or in the course of conversion work. Furthermore, many people are concerned that the tape for the roller shutter will leave marks on the wall.

Cleverly hidden
The first problem has been elegantly solved with a new product from elero: The adapter UniClic covers the position on the wall previously occupied by the tape box for the manual operation of the roller shutter. Integrated into the adapter is an elero control. Thus, this form of automation replaces the components previously used for manual operation – leaving behind scarcely any traces. So that the adapter also blends in with the general ambiance, its design is based on that of the entire ProLine series.

Less work with radio products
The argument that retrofitting involves more work is easily disproved thanks to modern technology: Numerous drives and controls from elero are available as a radio version. The radio-operated components offer the advantage that there is no need to lay control lines in the wall, as a wireless signal is sent from the wall-mounted transmitter to the drive, which then raises or lowers the roller shutter. Making it easy for latecomers to also enjoy all the comforts of automated roller shutters.
