elero brought a new line of controls – ProLine – onto the market two years ago, and the company is now pushing ahead with the expansion of its product range with a new generation of drive units. RevoLine is the name of the new product line, which will be unveiled in February at the R+T 2006 trade fair. The design of the new series, which will cover over 50 drive units for roller shutters and awnings, was the sole responsibility of an in-company team of developers. “It was of major strategic significance for us to ensure that our forward-looking control series ProLine could be supplemented with such drive units. Thus our customers can benefit from innovative automation solutions which they can combine in a modular manner in line with their respective requirements,” is how Rainer Kunz, managing director of elero GmbH, explains the strategy of the company.
Simple to install, comfortable to use
It was possible to significantly improve the product qualities of the drive units. “We have constructed the RevoLine units so that they can be installed more quickly and more easily. Moreover, they will have properties that make their daily use much more comfortable,” is how Dieter Walddörfer, technical director at elero, describes the new series. Consequently, RevoLine will also be the focus of elero’s appearance at the R+T 2006 trade fair. The presentation of the new generation of drive units will be supplemented with selected ProLine products such as intelligent timers and controls combined with sensors. This means that visitors to the trade fair stand of nearly 300 square metres will be able to experience how both product series can be combined to create innovative automation solutions. Following their unveiling at the R+T trade fair the first drive units in the RevoLine series will probably be available for sale from March 2006 onwards.
Separate stand for elero Linearantriebstechnik
The elero logo can also be seen at another trade fair stand: Some 100 square metres of stand area are available for the subsidiary company elero Linearantriebstechnik. “The diverse range of applications and target groups, as well as the pleasing business development in the linear actuator sector, are reason enough for us to be represented with a separate linear actuator stand at the R+T 2006,” says Rainer Kunz. At the heart of the company’s presentation in Stuttgart will be the two slat actuator systems LIMAline and VITROline, as well as a new waterproof version of the Picolo actuator. The products from elero Linearantriebstechnik are extremely weather-resistant, and stand out thanks to their high power and compact dimensions. In this respect they are used above all in large-scale, architecturally challenging glass façades, such as that for the Federal Chancellery in Berlin, or for the new Vocational Training Centre in Bitterfeld (approx. 150 km from Berlin), one of the largest low-energy buildings in Europe.
