Aero-868
Weather sensors for the right light and shade

Every installation requires a suitable sun/wind sensor

Be it a south-facing façade, a balcony pointing west or a breakfast patio looking east: Individual automation is required for sun protection at all areas in and around the house. An ideal solution is a modular system, with which individual components such as controls, wind and sun sensors may be combined. To allow for more precise solutions, elero has expanded its control series – ProLine - to include the sun/wind sensors Aero-868 Plus and Aero-868 AC. With the tried-and-tested Aero and the Aero-868 there are now a total of four sun/wind sensors available for the intelligent automation of venetian blinds and awnings.

Just as reliable in good or bad weather
The Aero-868 Plus is a combined sun/wind sensor that transmits the signals from the weather data measurements via radio to a corresponding elero receiver. In contrast to the Aero-868, which is fitted with a solar cell on its upper edge, the Aero-868 Plus has two solar cells and thus twice the storage capacity. Just like the other two radio-controlled sensors the Aero-868 Plus is made of transparent plastic and blends in inconspicuously with every background. Thanks to radio transmission and a solar cell, installation is independent of the mains power supply.

Radio sensor with mains connection
If there is already a mains connection, it makes sense to use the Aero-868 AC sun/wind sensor. It does not draw power from a solar cell but from the mains line. The commands to open or close a blind or awning are transmitted to the receiver using radio waves, hence the description “868”. With the Aero-868 AC this number – as with all radio-based products from elero – indicates the secure 868 MHz frequency. Due to the statutory restriction on the signal duration there is no interference from other devices such as mobile phones or radio headphones.

Simple wind sensor
In addition to the four sun/wind sensors elero also has the Ventero, a wired wind sensor that may be used extremely efficiently wherever a sun sensor is not required. If awnings are used commercially as protection against rain in front of display windows, for example, these are generally of a larger format and automation with the Ventero prevents damage from strong gusts of wind. elero also intends to export the Ventero to southern Europe. There the weather is beautiful throughout virtually the entire summer and there is no real need for a sun sensor. elero now has a suitable wind sensor to meet every need throughout Europe – and also for those enviable countries with sunshine practically all the time.
