elero has developed the new CSM-F-868 type drive unit series especially for open awning systems. The motors are suited to awning systems without a mechanical stop as during installation the engineer sets both the end positions with the aid of the elero installation cable or a selectively trained ProLine-868 radio transmitter: Firstly the roller blind or awning is moved to its upper limit, and this end position is then stored by simultaneously pressing the “Up” and “Down” keys. The lower limit is set in the same manner. Therefore the sun protection system is ready for operation within a matter of seconds.

Suited to many types of awnings
The new drive unit series may be used with a wide diversity of awnings: The Type 8 CSM-F-868 drive units with a torque of 3 or 5 Nm are excellently suited to roller blinds and smaller vertical awnings. The more powerful CSM-F-868 models – which have a maximum torque of 100 Nm and a shaft with a lifting capacity of as much as 235 kg – are used above all with large, open retractable arm awnings.

Reliable radio control
The CSM-F-868 series offers all the benefits of modern radio technology. The radio control uses the secure 868 MHz frequency. Thanks to the statutory restriction on the signal duration, interference is avoided with other devices such as mobile telephones and radios; mutual signal disruption is practically excluded. All the control elements of the ProLine-868 series – for example the solar-powered sun / wind sensor Aero-868 or the hand-held transmitter TempoTel – may be used to operate the drive unit.
