End-customers are more demanding, are better informed thanks to the internet, and now want a reliable and rapid service. At the same time, competition is constantly on the increase. Against this background, high-quality products and a high degree of deadline compliance are becoming important competitive factors for specialist tradesmen. The consequence: The installation work usually has to be performed under considerable time pressure – even in the roller shutter and sun protection sectors. Some manufacturers have already recognized this need and are developing products that are particularly easy to install quickly. Among these is elero with the drive series RevoLine for roller shutters and awnings.

Good timing starts with the order
The installation may be conducted even more quickly when the products are suited to the installation situation. For this reason excellent planning starts with the ordering of the right drive – and this is made a lot easier for specialist tradesmen thanks to the product names. Thus the descriptions “Rol” and “Sun” represent the applications roller shutters and awnings, respectively. The letters M and L indicate the installation size (M = 45 mm drive d, L = 55 mm drive d); these are then followed by the torque in newton meter. In the meantime the RevoLine series from elero comprises five different drive types that are available in differing designs: With torques currently ranging from 10 to 50 newton meters, for installation in shafts with a diameter of at least 50 mm, wired or with radio technology. Thus there is a suitable drive available for practically every situation.

Efficient installation and teaching-in of drives
In the development of the RevoLine drives the elero designers attached particular significance to uncomplicated installation and swift teaching-in. To this end the drives have latch-down adapters for differing shafts and pluggable connection cables in various lengths, for example. Another major advantage is the uncomplicated “clicking-in” of the RevoLine drive into the universal motor bearing. If there is already a motor bearing, the RevoLine drives may be fitted with the corresponding adapters. There is no need for a new mounting.

The RevoLine drives are delivered in teaching-in mode – this ensures additional time savings. When the upper and lower end positions are adopted, the drive automatically stores the position. Thus, the teaching-in of the roller shutter drive is very rapid.

Deadline-compliant implementation of customers’ wishes
In addition to deadline compliance, demanding customers pose additional challenges for the installation specialists. They want particularly long-lasting solutions of a high quality which fulfill all the automation wishes. With combinations of RevoLine drives and ProLine controls it is possible to realize these wishes – from simple motorization through to complex building technology systems. Meaning the specialist trades can successfully assert themselves despite greater competition.
